What does the future bring for 28 Creatives? To answer that I’d like to look back to what 28 Creatives is so far.
So far many projects and small games and initiatives are discussed mainly on Discord Servers. This means that information to the public are distributed if available at all. The idea of 28 Creatives was to act as a hub for all these projects, games and initiatives. With links to the respective websites, a place where you can share information if you don’t have your own webspace and as a hub for your blog if you are a blog author.
When launched the motivation was crazy, people registered, opened groups on 28 Creatives, set up bots to sync their own blogs. But all that died down rapidly, people leaving again.
Since then 28 Creatives is foremost a burden for myself. Daily security updates, kicking spam accounts, deleting spam groups and activities, more updates. Besides that I’m paying for hosting and the domain myself – to give something back to the community. I don’t earn anything with this community website (which was never the idea anyhow).
So I’ve decided to shut down 28 Creatives by end of the year.
A couple of months ago 28 mag set up their own Discord server which makes 28 Creatives a bit more irrelevant. For those who want to stay updated in regards to what is happening in the community and be part of a living community please head over to the 28 mag Discord.
Thank you to all members of 28 Creatives for being part of this idea. If there’s any content you want to keep, please make sure to do so as soon as possible.
Kind regards,
Julian
